		<description>i sort of love that marcus slip, its evocative of so many different possibilities. records are dead sounds, so a dj&#039;s job is also that of a necromancer bringing the dead back to life in the form of a party. it makes me think of the spectral nature of dub, and how a lot of dj and soundsystem culture can trace its roots back to jamaica. also the idea of traveling as a meditation on death, since the traveller examines different modes of life, and is not really in her/his own existence there is this weird limbo stage at the borders.
